Prices on the Chevin Trek website apply to online purchases.  In-store prices may vary.

Privacy & Security

Chevin Trek does not disclose any of your personal or financial details to any outside person or any other organisation.

All personal information that you submit is transmitted in encrypted form on secure links using industry standard SSL encryption.

Chevin Trek will save email address details as we may in the future notify you of any special offers on the website. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list at any time then please email us with your subscribed address and use the title Unsubscribe.

 

Ordering

When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. Your order will then be processed through our secure server. Should there be any unexpected delay in fulfilling your order, you will be advised of this.

Feel free to give us a ring on 01943 851166 at any time to talk through any queries you may have – you don’t have to deal with a computer all the time!

 

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and send it when available. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Returning Goods

You may return goods ordered from Chevin Trek’s website for a full refund of the price of the goods with just a few provisos:

1.The goods must be unused and with all packaging and labelling intact.
2. They must be returned within 30 days of purchase. Obviously the sooner we get them back the sooner we can refund you.
3. Return postage is your own responsibility and we would strongly recommend adequate insurance and Proof of Postage is obtained as items lost in return transit cannot be refunded. Items returned with insufficient postage which then incur extra fees for collection from the Post Office will have that amount deducted from any refund.  We apologise for this, but the Post Office will not release items to us unless we pay the excess.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

The manufacturers of many of our products offer warranties that complement or are in addition to your statutory rights. When you make a purchase we will explain to you what the conditions of the warranty that apply to your product are. Many of our suppliers offer 'lifetime' warranties. Please note that this refers to the lifetime of the product (not your lifetime) and is a way of recognising that the intensity of use of outdoor products varies greatly from one user to another. For example, if a pair of boots had an inherent problem that only became apparent after protracted use, a casual weekend walker would discover the problem much later than someone who was using their boots everyday. A 'lifetime' warranty would offer both examples the same degree of protection. Warranties do not cover wear and tear or the natural degradation of the product over time.
 

How we deal with warranty claims:


If you have a problem with a product you have purchased from Chevin Trek we want to resolve the situation as quickly and effectively as possible. You can help us achieve this by observing the following points:

- Please return the product to us as quickly as you can when you notice the problem.
- Please return the product in a clean and dry condition.
- Please provide proof of purchase. This can be our till receipt, or a bank or credit card statement indicating the purchase.

We will endeavour to offer you an appropriate solution but please be aware that in order to determine the nature of the fault in your product we may need to seek a second opinion, usually from the manufacturer who has testing rigs and equipment that we don't have available at the shop.
All our suppliers have efficient returns services designed to minimise the inconvenience to the customer. We will undertake to keep you informed of progress and ensure that your product is returned within the quickest possible time.

Please note, that whilst we work on Saturdays, our suppliers don't so if you return a product with a problem on a Saturday; we will not be able to discuss it with the manufacturer until Monday.

In involving the supplier or manufacturer in a claim we are not seeking to offload our responsibility to you our customer. It is our aim to work in partnership with our suppliers to ensure the best service we can.
